SECTION 1. OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE DETERMINATION

SIUC has examined the potential for occupational exposure of all employees. SIUC reviewed the potential for occupational exposure without regard to the use of personal protective equipment. The University's determination is that some employees are routinely faced with occupational exposure, while others are periodically or rarely faced with possible exposure.

All employees in job classifications listed in Table 1 are considered to routinely have occupational exposure. Some employees in job classifications listed in Table 2 have routine occupational exposure. Some employees in job classifications listed in Table 3 have rare occupational exposure. It is the duty of University, Department and Unit management to identify specific positions that fall within these categories.

A list of general job duties that may lead to occupational exposure and that are performed by employees listed in job classifications contained in Tables 1, 2 and 3 are listed in Table 4.
