SECTION 2: SCHEDULE AND METHOD
OF IMPLEMENTATION
SIUC, after review of existing policies and State
and Federal requirements, has established this Occupational Exposure
Control Plan (OECP). This OECP shall be distributed to all appropriate
Departments and Administrative Units within the University under the
supervision of the Biohazards Oversight and Advisory Committee (BOAC). All
Departments and Administrative Units shall be responsible for implementing
this OECP in accordance with Policies and Procedures set forth in Section
4. All Departments and Administrative Units shall also develop additional
site-specific policies and procedures to supplement this general OECP as
needed and forward such policies and procedures to the Center for
Environmental Health and Safety (CEHS) for documentation and approval.
Each appropriate Department and Administrative Unit must certify
compliance with this OECP to the Office of the Associate Vice President
for Research and Dean of the Graduate School through the CEHS. The CEHS
will assist Departments and Administrative Units in implementing the OECP.
