The SIUC Center for Environmental Health and Safety includes an office building, a lab and storage structure, and parking areas. The office area is approximately 75 by 125 feet, with the lab and storage area 100 by 125 feet. The Center is fully equipped with recent technology and is designed with compliance to EPA regulations. A power roof ventilation system, specialized air pressure balancing controls, sprinkler systems, fire suppression and protection systems, ventilation hoods, emergency showers and eyewash stations insure the safest working environment. Leakage control and isolation of different classes of compounds in safe storage vaults ensure the best environmental protection from occupational exposure. The Center is wired for networking and supports a T1 Ethernet network and SIUC's Centranet telephone service.
