In order to comply with OSHA Title
29 CFR Part 1910.146, entry into a permit required confined space
requires certain actions to be performed by the employer.
The term “permit-required confined space” refers to those spaces that
meet the definition of a “confined space” and pose health or safety
hazards, thereby requiring a permit for entry.

confined space guidelines should be used in developing a site-specific
