Requesting or Changing Radiation Monitoring Services

Radiation monitoring devices are issued in accordance with state and federal regulations.
In addition to these regulations, the university has established that radiation monitoring
devices are required for individuals that meet any of the following criteria:

1) When working with beta emitters of energy 0.25 Mev or greater
2) When working with gamma emitters of any energy
3) When working with neutron sources of any type
4) When working with x-ray producing devices other than dental diagnostic x-ray producing devices
5) When working with devices used for accelerating charged particles
6) When working in areas where exposure in excess of 10 mrem per day is expected.
